XXL HEPA H14 filter
The main filter of the Air purifier AirCO2NTROL is a high quality HEPA H14 (High-Efficient-Particulate-Air) class filter with a separation efficiency of over 99.995% and filters out all aerosols, viruses and bacteria in the air. H14 filters are individually tested in a complex test procedure before delivery for impermeability and separation efficiency tested according to DIN EN 1822. This ensures an enormously high level of safety.
The class F7 pre-filter ensures that coarse particles are separated in advance and that the lifetime of the HEPA H14 main filter is significantly extended. This reduces the ongoing costs for replacement filters.
UV-C filter – optional
The UV filter unit inside the air purifier uses very short-wave, high-energy UV rays to inactivate the viruses and bacteria in the intake air and it irradiates the HEPA H14 filter. The unit is free of ozone or chemicals. This also enables a safe, virus-free filter change.
The AirCO2NTROL filter is monitored using separate indicator lamps for the prefilter and main filter to enable need-based filter replacement. This ensures maximum exploitation of the corresponding filter service life, avoiding excessive power consumption due to high filter resistances.

The air purifier AirCO2NTROL designed by KEMPER also meets the requirements set out by a current scientific study conducted by the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics at Universität der Bundeswehr München under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Christian J. Kähler, dated 22.09.2020.

According to this study, the decisive factor to selecting the right air purifier is an air volume exchange rate of six times an hour to keep the concentration of aerosols at a low level. This rate can be achieved without any problem with AirCO2NTROL for rooms up to 100 m². The air volume exchange rate is even higher for smaller rooms. The XXL HEPA H14 filter from Kemper with a filter surface of 20 m² is decisive to attaining the aerosol particle and thus virus filter efficiency of 99.995% as the air flows once through the filter. Consideration has been given to ensure that the process involves very little noise. The capacity of the AirCO2NTROL from Kemper is variable and can be set from 300 to 1500 m3 according to the size of the room. In this way, a maximum reduction in noise is ensured.
