Kemper GmbH’s hugely effective welding ventilation system, the CleanAirTower, has received a prestigious award for the best welding product at Poland’s recent STOM trade fair. The award result was decided by an independent panel of experts that scored Kemper’s cutting-edge tower the best of all welding products on show. The deciding factor was ultimately the ventilation system’s innovative qualities.
About the Award-Winning CleanAirTower
Designed to be used where local extraction is either insufficient or doesn’t work at all, the CleanAirTower works according to a relatively simple displacement ventilation system instead of the traditional push-pull system. Working towards recommended international health and safety standards, it removes polluted air and dust and pulls the contaminated air into the tower’s pipework. The top of the unit takes in contaminated air consistently around its full 360-degree tower without any hoses and constricting set-ups. At the same time the purified air is re-circulated at the bottom of the tower so that welders get clean air to breath at their workstations.
Automatic cleaning filters are programmed to use a two-stage filter system with cleanable PTFE-membrane cleanable filters that get rid of the polluted air. The welding dust it removes is deposited in collection bins for easy disposal. All in all, the system successfully removed close on all (about 99 percent) of dust and fume particles, even minute bits that cannot be seen by the naked eye.
The Polish Trade Show
STOM Tool is a well-established exhibition for those in the metalworking and metal machining industry. Aimed at a professional audience, it is held in Kielce in March every year, and is held over a three-day period. This year’s exhibition was the third, and it saw 430 exhibitors from 22 countries. Equipment showcased included machines, robots, tools, process lines, special software, and gave those in the industry the opportunity to learn more about every aspect of metal working, tooling, computer-aided and automatic machinery and industrial safety.
Kemper and the Polish Market
The German headquartered Kemper has identified Poland as a growth market and has invested heavily to build up a presence in the country. Already recognized as a company that can provide high-quality extraction and filter technology for the broader metal-processing industry in Poland, Kemper MD Björn Kemper describes it as “an interesting growth market.” This is largely because the company has identified the Polish welding and metal-processing sector as lacking in the field of occupational safety and health, and they are able to provide the appropriate technology that will protect workers.
Kemper confirms that the company is increasing its presence in Poland and will be attending two more trade shows there this year: ITM Polska in Poznan in the first week of June, and the international ExpoWelding welding fair in October.
Kemper International
Kemper has been supplying cutting-edge German designed and manufactured equipment to welders and cutters throughout the world for more than 40 years, ensuring that welding workshops and other working environments are as safe, clean and healthy as possible.
